I Am

The water moves

in

and

Out…

I watch the sea and wonder does it know how amazing it is?

It never stops

and yet it is so still.

I take a moment to inhale a breathe in…

and out….
I wonder to myself do my lungs know how amazing they are?

They never stop

and yet they are so still.

I sit with myself in a minute that feels lost and lonely.

I’m lost

and

I’m lonely.

But I’ve got beautiful lungs that do so much for me.

And I can see the sea do its thing too.

Both still, both steady and both amazing.

It takes losing to know what lonely means.

It takes loneliness to truly understand loss.

It takes watching the sea to recognise my lungs…

In…

Out…

In…

Out…

We’re connected by consistency and that is amazing.

The water fills around me.

I see mother nature move closer and closer to me.

She is around me.

She is within me.
She is me.

And that’s the bit I’ve forgotten.

I am not alone. I am not lost.

Yet I feel those things in this moment.

But my breathe reminds me that I am mother nature’s messenger…

And so are you.

We are the sea. We are the waves. We are the in. We are the out.

We never stop yet we carry stillness within.

I had forgotten that bit, you see.

And maybe you had too.

That I am, what I see.

I am what I need.

I am lost, I am lonely but I am also found and I am loved.

Just like the sea, we are all things and that is amazing.

You are you.

And I am me.
