Hey there Substack family 💖
How are you doing? Hope your week has been good to you. 🫶
Just to mention at the start of this week’s substack, I’m going to change things up for fun here next week. One of my best friends who writes on here
is celebrating a huge Substack birthday on Friday 30th of June - she is writing her 100th edition of her substack - so proud of her….as many of you know, us writers on here are writer for passion, not for wages and I just think it is amazing that Lauren has written for 100 weeks and that alone needs to be highlighted and celebrated! Lauren is such a good egg and I’ve mentioned her on here before. I’m a huge advocate for writers supporting writers so next week instead of me writing my substack, I am going to cross post Lauren’s to share with you some of her work…..I am a woman of action, not just words haha ;) so I just want to try my best to share writers who are bringing their A Game to this table and who I know you will enjoy :) I’ll be back in the writing seat the following week, because would you believe, the week after Lauren’s sends out her 100th newsletter, I send out mine the following week so all very exciting….Also it was too serendipitous a moment to let the two writers at 100 pass without highlighting it right? Can you imagine what Granny would say about this? ;)Ok ….onto this week’s substack…..
This week’s substack is going to be short in the written word but long on the audio…..I’ve had a really wonderful week and on Tuesday I was very fortunate to be a guest on Saoirse Rafferty’s podcast series ‘A Good Kind of Scary’. I would absolutely LOVE if you wanted to listen to it as linked below……I’m hoping I might just be a good kind of scary in it or maybe I’m more good than scary? You decide! 🫶 💖💖🫶
The podcast is all about our fears and how we handle facing them…..In the moment of recording this, I definitely felt in my heart, ‘gosh I’m really enjoying chatting with Saoirse’ and inside the conversation I was just so grateful for the opportunity to share all the things that really matter to me. It was lovely being the person interviewed and it allowed my heart and my head to flow together and I think, I might have made some sense….I really hope you enjoy what you hear….If you know me very well, I hope you enjoy this podcast & maybe smile to yourself as I share my deep beliefs and passions which you know all about ;) and if you don’t me very well, this podcast episode will definitely give you a really good insight into who I am at my core… I really appreciate you being here & I really appreciate you heading to the podcast link too! 💖
This is the link to the podcast:
I really hope you enjoy it and I would be really grateful if you might follow ‘A Good Kind of Scary’ podcasts on Spotify and Apple. Also you might follow Saoirse’s podcast on A Good Kind of Scary Facebook Page and A Good Kind of Scary Instagram Page

A superb ‘good kind of scary’ podcast my friend Louise indeed. 👏🙏
I couldn’t stop listening to you and the lovely Saoirse !!
My heart was pounding as you retold how you lived, laughed and loved with Granny Nancy. Amongst other reminders of loved ones absence
‘The empty chair ‘ resonated with me teary eyed Knowing I’ve been there. I’m so privileged I have had some insight to your openness, genuine concern for others through the FB Family outreach. This has made it easier to understand my own feelings as I navigate my way through grief. I too keep leaning in and looking up now!!
