This day will see attendance from The School of Philosophy & Science, London in which the ‘Inspiration Peace Day’ Conference will take place.

The Press Release is as follows:
Inspiration Day - Peace
Sunday 03 March, 10am - 4pm
Mandeville Place, London
Living as we are through troubled times, we as philosophers should do all we can to encourage the principle of peace. The question is where to begin. The obvious answer is, the nearest thing to hand, ourselves. This is part of a speech by Dean Russell, the Watford MP, who, inspired by the Watford Peace Garden, promoted the idea of Peace Gardens in Parliament: “We talk about peace. We think of it as something outside ourselves, but if we have peace within ourselves we don’t wish to create conflict with others, and that’s why for me this garden is so important because it enables us to have peace and tranquility within ourselves.”
It’s that very thing which is the aim of the day. To help us we have those taking the practical classes, and a presentation from Judith Bruni, about the Watford Peace Garden which she helped create, and an interview with Irish journalist, Louise Coghlan, about her best selling book concerning the philosophy of her 107 year old grandmother who rose to fame for her words of consolation during lock down.

Nick Atzeni - Peace in Human Relationships
The class will concern how emotions influence our listening and speech, dynamics in a conversation, levels of listening and attentive communication.
Barbara Ryan - Sacred Geometry
The circle is both familiar and profound. A familiar image traditionally regarded as the shape of perfection, unity and wholeness. This session will endeavour to connect with the stillness and peace of the centre using drawing geometry as a powerful meditation, inspiring creativity.
Mary Cook - Peaceful Painting
A dip into the peace of watercolour, an incredibly stilling exercise, watching colour move on water and drawing the forms out of the medium.
William Wray - The Beauty of Unnoticed Thing
An exercise in reflective observation using words and images.
Paul and Anthea Douglas - Sanskrit: Source of Peace
The class will consider and reflect on the Perfect Prayer, a famous statement from the Eastern tradition of wisdom. We will explore its meaning and its power to connect us with inner peace.
In order for us to organise the day it would be a great help if you were to book in advance by contacting Maggie Allen at the SPES office Tel: 020 3287 1443 email: hello@fses.org

A special thanks to all of you who are part of my community here and for all your constant support with my writing, my communications and everything I do. I have been quieter than usual in the last two months as I take care of a very personal matter. As I always say, we must take life as we meet it and no matter what we plan or hope for, we can only deal with life as it meets us at the door. In this instance, I am working my way through helping people I love with something very heavy and distressing. My full attention -heart and head wise - was needed to make sure we travel through a stormy time. I know you know me well enough at this stage, that I will always stand in beside anyone who needs me and that no matter how heavy somethings get, I truly believe that the only way a storm should be faced is together in unity. Nobody should travel a road of trouble on their own and within this time of personal sacrifice and quite the dark days, I have leaned into my inner self. I have dug deep and I have stood forward and chosen the courageous card. I have lived the words in which I speak. I have leaned on the fact that I am indeed ‘stronger than I seem, smarter than I think and braver than I believe.’ I am a living force of my own belief system and in time I hope I can do my part to help change the world in my own little way day by day and step by step. I have a healing inner peace inside me that I feel helps others to trust in the process, trust in themselves and potentially trust in me to help them see the way forward when life gets hard. I am so grateful you are here with me and as you read these words, be sure to know how valuable you are to my life, my story and what a light you are to me to keep me going.
I hope you feel the love and appreciation I hold for you all and how grateful I am that you never leave my side. I am a one woman show when it comes to the business and passion of my writing and communications so I am so grateful to those who financially support me here in substack and also to all of you who read my writing. To those who endlessly leave comments, you will never know how important those words are for me. Thank you for contributing to me never giving up my gift, my passion, my spirit and who I am and particularly keeping me going at this time.
Love, light and so much peace from my heart to yours,
Your friend always and forever,
Lou xx
Amazing, congratulations Lou!
Brilliant and good luck in your talk x
