Hello my dear Substack family,
A member of our community and a very good friend reminded me of the words I had written in our community calendar for the month of June and she recommended I share them here. I thought about it for a moment and then I thought ‘gosh she’s right’….somebody might get some energy or strength from them and where better to share them than with my beautiful Substack family.
So here’s a little nugget of Lou wisdom for the month ahead especially if you might be struggling in anyway. You are not alone even if you feel like you are. We are here for each other and we all know what it is like to wobble, to doubt, to feel isolated or stressed, it is natural and it is ok to feel the darkness closeby. I am your reminder that you are the light.
I know the world is all astray at the moment and life is not easy so I hope my words might help you to keep going and to keep looking up.
I know it can feel like we are alone in this crazy world but I promise you, you are never alone, you are always in my thoughts and prayers. And when you look up to the moon at night, I’m standing right there beside you looking up too. And I never miss a sunset either.
The opening of a new day is very special but the closing of a day allows us to let go of what was and it reminds us to lean into the fact that the day is over now and we are being guided to ‘let go and let God’. I’m not sure if you have heard of this phrase before now but if you haven’t, it means to let the day go, let your worries go, let your mistakes go, let your doubt go, let the things that burden us go into the nights sky and leave them to God. And even if you don’t believe in God or a greater power, just to let the day that has gone before us settle into the past and to let yourself trust that everything will be ok. Everything will be ok I promise you x
Love always from your friend who is always looking up for you,
Lou x

June 2025
Welcome June to the party! We’ve made it! Summer is officially in the house and we are thrilled to see you. You are the halfway marker to the year, June, and I nearly cannot believe you’re here.
Time is flying and with the presence of the sun shining brighter and brighter each day, I thank nature for the light. The light of the summer sun and the hope that lies in the plans we make for this season. June presents us with a lovely opportunity to slow down in one way but also to gather speed in another. A speed not like the rest of the year but a pace that is driven by plans to meet friends, embrace family in fun and different ways, make memories by the dozen and watch how the world starts to colour in with flowers blooming, trees filling in and the sky seeming bluer than ever.
June 21st marks the celebration of Summer Solstice in Ireland and oh how we love this magical date. It is officially the longest day and the shortest night and as the sun gets up at 5am and doesn’t return to bed until around 10pm or so. My only thought is that the moon must really enjoy this holiday time too.
Enjoy this month of Summer light my dear friends, and even if the weather is unsure, engage the joy within and make those memories.
Oh … and P.S. It’s time to buy strawberries from the man with the van and of course new potatoes all round! Eeekkk… Let the good times roll! Oh and ice cream… eat lots of ice cream!
Keep looking up as we begin to slow down.
Love always,
Lou x
Joyful ideas for this month:
Meet a friend every week for a cup of tea, a coffee, a cold drink or a 99 cone.
Look forward to the season ahead and book yourself a date each month where you go to an event/gig/gathering/tea party that is a little different. An example might be to book a reiki session, go to a symphony concert, a visit to the theatre or a stroll in a different forest. Look to mix it up this month.
Take lots of photos of the sky and the bright light arriving into our lives.
Gently as we go… We are beginning to officially slow down now… Enjoy the pace of relaxing as your world begins to allow for more downtime.
Keep looking up!
I picked two songs for this month to keep you motoring and to keep you stepping forward and i’ll include them here for you to listen to. I hope you enjoy them. The lyrics are powerful x
