You are so right and what we need to do..... when we get up tomorrow, let’s look at the day, straight in the eye, and say I’m going to love. Doesn’t have to be any certain person. But just plain bring back the love in the air.

Matthew Perry’s death is very sad. I am sure hoping it’s not suicide. I 🙏 pray it’s not suicide. It reminds me of my brother-in-law who falls asleep in the bathtub, daily!! I have often thought, how does he not drown? It actually scares me a bit.

As I sat here listening to you, it’s hard to fight back those sad emotions...tears.

I don’t want to take away from your story. I really don’t. But, here in Maine, it’s either the first or second largest state in the United States, we’ve just been through a bit of terrorizing, for lack of a better word, just 50 miles away from me, a shooter went into two funtime establishments and just opened fire and killed 18 people. Just how, just why...... and this guy was 40 and taught shooting classes in his past. And apparently and admittedly he did have some type of mental issues. The “air” in the state, for three days, sad... very sad. And they did find him, death by suicide, he shot himself in the head..... the end of this just happened this past Saturday.

And as you mentioned, multiple places around the world, just why?

You hit on a seemingly keyword, “jealousy”. That might be pretty close to the answer, right there. Never really thought about it, but that certainly would answer a lot. Why do we have this jealousness about us? Is it something we were taught? Is it necessary that we constantly compete with one another? Is it imperative that we have to grab that golden ring, first?

Let’s just love..... let’s look at everything we can and just love.

You said it so well, Lou, you really did. ❤️

Simply 'yes' to your wise words, the basics in my opinion of human nature to care, give time, listen, patience, kindness, love, empathy...have done a disaapearing act. There is so much sadness in the world & unnecessary suffering, pain & deaths. I too thought history lessons in school were 'history'

Thank you for your deep, thoughtful words of truth. To be kind to someone without expectation--definitely something that's needed, that's often lacking. In our capitalist society, so much of our value is tied to money--but that's hollow. I don't necessarily think we're worse than people of the past--I don't--but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't improve and spread more love. Here in the U.S., another mass shooting--and I don't think anything is going to be done to prevent the next one...Anyway, I could go on and on, but thank you, Lou. Sending hugs. Thanks for writing this.

Lou, thank you..

Matthew was on a book tour last year and I noticed he seemed somewhat broken then.

I honestly feel he wasn't taken seriously at that time...and he Was reaching out.

It's sad to me and again I say, This is why I'm here.

Our world has gotten more callous, non empathetic, almost scary.

I believe we have to find our people, like minded, good people and stick together.

But at the same time try to spread the message of love and friendship because there is so little of that now.

Like minded people stick right out and are pretty easy to find nowadays.

Keep shining Lou, we are right here with you, by your side, and will Always have your back.

Rather than read, I enjoyed your lilting melodious voice! Beautiful! I was waiting for you to break into song with "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," especially since it is stuck in my head now!

You’re so right, Lou. We need to take care of each other. At the very least, give basic human kindness.

And I agree, it seems like everything we went through and learned from our time of pandemic lockdown has been swept under the rug.

It’s disheartening. Thank goodness for people like you, friend. Sending love. ♥️

Lou there are so many things

We are richer in money sense but we have become immune to suffering, homeless people, war, murder, crime drugs the list is endless

It's the NIMBY society

So long as I'm alright to he'll with the rest

We have lost the simple pleasures blinded by the glow of the money

Bigger cars houses etc but no time for family Flash holidays but no time for a Sunday stroll

I'm afraid we are becoming clones

Straight teeth HD eyebrows flawless skin certain hairstyles the kids are even becoming assessories it's a sad road
