Wow I really enjoyed this. I will never think of Monday in the same way again so thankyou for making me see that a Monday is a beautiful day and should never be frowned upon again 😊
I love Mondays, Writers Hour, checkin and seeing friends on zoom. I've just spent part of WH reading your newsletter - that's not time wasting surely? Seneca's just given me a good talking to! 😘
Ah, talk about just the post I needed at a particular moment! My earbuds conked out of battery at the start, so I had to make do with reading the rest. Thanks so much for your infectious energy, Lou - it's what I needed to put the fire under me today. The coffee mug the barista at RSA House gave me says WHO on it, and I'm choosing to interpret that as, 'WHO but YOU can write this book?' Looking forward to your next instalment. x
Awwww thanks soooo much Elaine for your lovely words and support...sending all the good vibes to you girl & you have this is right Elaine!! You can do it and you wont just do it, you will kick ass on your deadline & your book will be fab just like you...Thanks so much for being on my bus here xx Look forward to lots of good times ahead together x
Mondayitus 🤣 is another name I give Mondays when I know it’s not for everyone to return to work for whatever reason, thankfully I don’t get it as I love my job!! I’m a teaching assistant in early years so every weekday is great for me it’s the weekends I struggle with 😓 I’m getting through though with the help of you. God Bless you Louise.
You are amazing Dolores...thanks so much for your words and support always and your friendship. So glad we found each other. Together we can get through life, i'm sure of that xx loads of love to you xx
Louise I firmly believe it was meant to be that I become part of your FB family. When empathy, compassion, patience , faith, hope and love and a sense of humour are shared it gels us all together. Thank you so much for inviting me into your heart. 💚☘️🐞🦋🌈☘️💚
I think your right about hating Monday because you hate the job Shift works ends that cos your days off vary so Monday doesn't count
But now I'm not working Monday means everyone is gone Back to their homes, jobs etc so Monday signifies a degree of loneliness
It's the day to start back into the mundane the humdrum of life shopping washing etc
So despite your best efforts I'm neutral I dislike some bits like others in that I can count off days till I see loved ones again so tick one Monday done ....next....
Thanks so much Margaret for your words always....I totally understand how Monday is not a great day in that sense..that makes so much sense...my mam doesn't like Monday's either...She always says it's the day she feels loneliness the most too and in the early days of grief, she absolutely dreaded them..there is definitely something about them that seem to make something sad/lonely - lonelier if that makes sense. Sending love to you always xxxx
I find it amazing that on Sunday night I wrote my Sunday substack about tackling Monday’s in a positive way because they’re hard, and then on Monday you wrote this. And we both wrote those without knowing what each of us were going to be publishing.
This isn’t the first time we’ve done this and I’m so grateful that we are continuously on a similar wavelength, especially when it means you’re bringing me the joy I seek! I’m so grateful for you always.
Yep that is absolutely nuts...I thought that after I saw yours....I laughed actually ...sure what would our friendship be without us heading down the same road of thought & meeting at the bottom of it for a giggle ;) Thanks L for always taking the time to read/listen. Appreciate your well thought out comments always too. You're very good & i'm so grateful for your friendship and support...No Substack would ever get written without you haha xx
I read this with great interest Lou and will try to look at Mondays differently and my goodness yes how true is the end of this read. Thank you for your beautiful words as always. Love and hugs to you xx M x
