This is beautiful, tearfully beautiful. As I’m reading along I’m thinking wow I hope Lou really read this. It could be describing her and her dad. And sure enough, it was you! It’s beautiful and sad all at the same time. ♥️😘
Thank you so much Karen for always reading my words and for being such a supportive friend. I am so grateful to have found you in this world and so lucky to call you my friend xx
Lou, I lost my beloved father at 36..I was never the same in my heart when he left us from cancer as yours did. I completely sympathize and your beautiful words touched me today on this day that has become a day of remembrance for me.
Sending so much love to you Chris. Aw imagine you lost your dad so early in life too. It’s a long journey without them on it. Your dad and my dad together in heaven drinking tea and having the chats no doubt. Thank you so much for your comment, it means so much to me as do YOU xx
This is so beautifully written Lou, I am totally new to substack & I write of all things about grief ! I always encourage anyone who has lost a loved one to write to them, talk to them through words. It is beyond helpful & keeps us connected x
Thanks so much Paula for your lovely words and for sharing my letter. So grateful for your kindness and I couldn’t agree more. It’s so important to let the grief free when it get sticky instead. Lots of tears fell completely out of the blue but all good. I let them free and feel the better of writing my way through my feelings. So good to be in touch and heres to a long friendship together on Substack :) :)
Thank you so much for sharing Joe with us. He did a brilliant job because you are such a bright light in this world. He is so proud of you. You are incredible with so much love to give and share.
I have never seen a picture of Joe before, and not only do you carry his love in your heart, wow, do you also carry his smile.
