Yesterday was no ordinary Friday for me…..no it was definitely a different kind of Friday morning…..I was physically out of sync…and maybe emotionally, spiritually and mentally too as there was a slight change of gear in me as I sat looking out the window of the Abbey Glen Castle Hotel in the West of Ireland….Tea to the right of me and Cliften Bay to the left ….And I was (gladly) stuck in the middle with you (can you hear me singing the song?)…..of course you can….I can hear you singing the song too…and do you know what, you’re a wonderful singer 🥰
Hi Louise and Winnie, thanks for a beautiful letter. I read it all, right to the end, it was a pleasure to read your lovely words. I will keep this short but enjoy the rest of your stay and have a glass of something nice tonight for yourself and Winnie.
know I care for my mum Joyce who’s 95, with my sister Tricia . The words ring very true it’s not been easy daily over the last few years we aren’t teenagers at 66 and 71. ourselves Mum and Dad both wanted to remain at home and not go into a nursing home , Dad passed in April at home .. as will mum when it’s her time to . So that’s what we have both done whole heartedly through out our retirements .. So pleased you have got away to take stock ! It’s definitely something I’ll do myself when I have the time again … Take care and how marvellous you’ve restored your soul and found peace of mind xx ( ps you may wonder what my association with the Hill of Down area are the O’ Reilly’s who farm there but live in Enfield.Kathleen and Vinnie live in Gaybrook Enniscoffey , and we holidayed in their little cottage in the Hill for a good few years , so know Kinnegad well.My husband was from Milltownpass . I watch the Thursday healing Mass from St Camillus.
. We often ate at the Monastery not far from you and Granny ..Small world hey !! lovely to speak with you Lou ..

Love those words ' how are you'
Can be so lovely to hear anytime but more so if you are feeling alone in any way, lovely to know that someone cares and those words say it xx
