Hello dear friends,

There is just three days left to post within Ireland if you are looking for the perfect Christmas present to give to your Mam, Dad, Granny, Grandad, best friend, neighbour or maybe this might be your random act of kindness this year! The Link to my Christmas shop is as follows: Order the Calendar by clicking here :)

If you are someone who doesn’t like buying online - which I totally know myself but would rather chat with a human :) I’m offering my favourite old style way here too - please feel free to ring +353877794318 to place your order.

What’s this Calendar you speak of Lou?????

The 'Keep Looking Up' 2025 Calendar is packed with over 13,000 words - it is a book in a calendar format if there could be such a thing haha ;) - brimming with colourful photographs, words of wisdom for all ages, songs to listen to, funny dates to giggle at (national alien abduction day, cappuccino day, act like a pirate day and so on...) and so much more. to keep you smiling…

This calendar was created by me in every fibre of its existence. I’ve put my heart and soul into it and I can promise you if you know someone who lives on their own, is recently bereaved or just might be carrying something heavy, this calendar is made for their kitchen and will help them step through each day as I walk with alongside them through 2025. Life is not easy, it’s actually very tough and this is why I created this calendar. As a coping mechanism, as a reminder that we are not alone on this earth, even if sometimes it feels like we are, and also so I can help you and them take each step forward no matter what cross you might be carrying.

Each month there is a personal letter written to you about how I cope with life, how I find the silver linings when the rain falls and also lots of ways to help you to keep looking up in life even when the odds are against you! There is also a list of things to do, which will allow you think more deeply, create new habits and also giggle to yourself too! Lots of free ideas and lots of things we will be doing as a virtual community going forward are listed too!

I’ll include a little look at the letter that I wrote for December from the calendar here to add a big of light and love to this month we travel through ;)

Also I would like to reiterate my greatest thanks and gratitude to you for reading all the way down here ;) you are a star :) and to all who have already bought Granny Nancy’s book and the calendar, thanks a million for believing in me. I am so grateful to you all! I am so lucky and feel so blessed to have your constant support.

No matter how I wish & sometimes I do wish ;) that I was a highflying millionaire ;0 - I am not btw haha ;) I am indeed a very solo creative business entrepreneur so everytime you purchase a book or a calendar from me, you are very much keeping the lights on & the bills paid in my writing home along with giving me fuel and energy to create for the next month as well as inspiration too so thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here and for spending your hard earned cash on me!

As I write this, I am not long home from seeing ‘Mary Poppins’ in the Bord Gais Energy Theeatre in Dublin and it was possibly the best musical production I have ever seen in my life. Noting that I had a front row seat to Les Mis in recent times so this really put Mary Poppins right at the top of that shooting star of success….I was so lucky to be seated right up front with one of my very good friends and we literally could have been carried off on Mary’s brolly we were that close to the stage and all the magic. We could have took off to the skies together with Mary today- we were tempted - but we decided to stay in our seats and smile from ear to ear instead ;)

As I sat there in pure bliss and deep reflection as the orchestra played and the singers sang with all their hearts, I was both blown away and received an aptly timed reminder of the importance of the arts, the creative souls and the people who are willing to risk their all to share their artistic talents with us. I loved every second of the show and it was one of my favourite songs that closed the musical that gave me the much needed solid advice that I needed right now - as I try to sell my soul with this calendar haha ;0 Seriously there is nothing worse for a creative person than to have to sell their own products or talents ;) Genuinely I would sell empty bin bags quicker than be asking for anyone to buy anything from me haha but when you are an artist you must sell what you create to keep yourself in business ;) So that is exactly why Mary Poppins is after given me the reminder I so desperately needed as the last few days of Christmas sales arrive. The song I really needed to hear today was a song called: ‘Anything Can Happen If You Let It’….I would highly recommend you google/spotify if you too are looking for some inspiration too (Jelly is not jelly until you set it) ……I’ll link it here too: Anything can happen :) )or if you might like to take a little taste of a trailer made for the show in Dublin, I would highly recommned you please play ;)

So as a final share, the reason I want to hide under the table when it comes to selling in anyway - Creative people and in this instance - ME - It’s feels so daunting to put yourself out there by placing a value on yourself…It really is the ultimate rejection arena in the sense that the mental courage needed to step forward is massive, it really is much safer to stay quiet and stay hidden at my writing journal…To share, to offer and to put yourself out there as well as investing lots of money in a product I’ve created, designed and printed myself exposes me to all different types of people - which in those magic moments is magic but on all the quieter silent moments, it’s a battle with yourself inside yourself…Have I made this good enough? Will anyone like it? Is it good enough? Why would anyone want what I’ve created? The doubts are the mental erosion of all creative peoples pursuits and of course our confidences…….So by putting myself out there with my creation, I am risking myself meeting potential rejection - a lot of it is not personally at all but just the way the world works. Also the creative tends to create the rejection inside our minds on a regular basis - this is indeed the magic of being creative as much as it feels a burden…..

I am also one tiny dot on the planet and in a massive market - a crazy christmas market and now in an age when so many big commercial giants are at play, someone as tiny as me, has to work really hard to even find my way to a door that will open even a little to help me find my tribe, my people, my readers, my supporters, my believers so really it would be easier to stay quiet, stay safe at my writing desk but as Mary said today ‘Anything could happen if you let it’. So here I am trying and here I am letting it….

Love you MAry Poppins and love you my dearest reader and friend,

Merry Christmas and thank you for everything,

Lou x

That creative thing I created is here if you might want one ;)

Ps. Thanks a million to the 1000 readers and supporters who are on this magical journey with me. You are my lanterns, you are my light, you are my reason to be a writer. Thank you x
